I get it and like all journalism majors at Miami, if you don't get it, it's beaten into you. Your career will be hard, long, and not very profitable. Maybe it's because I'm not in "the real world" yet or maybe it's just the kind of people journalists tend to be but I think there will forever be a romanced "because I love it" speech that follows any lecture on our dying industry. And that's one of the things I like about our major. That, and the speech will always be impeccably written. Business majors certainly can't say that.
